Samrawit is a freelance photographer/videographer based in London, who is currently studying Photography at London Southbank University. Apart from being a mum, she spends most of her time shooting for clients and personal projects across all genres.

Studying creative media in the past has inspired her to incorporate moving image into some of her photographic projects. In most of her photographic work, Samrawit explores the idea of identity and culture, mostly within the black African community. Her ideas are explored through portraiture and documentary styles.

Apart from photography, Samrawit spends her time creating and editing short films and music videos.

In 2015, she created a commercial/safety video for supermarket Iceland's warehouse, and her work was chosen and used as a safety video for inductions.
